I think yeah, lots and lots because COVID has people at home. What are your thoughts on this? [No rancor, please.] I’ve skipped all of the debates so far, but with so many novel factors here, I’m planning on tuning in.

I’m expecting lots of new, innovative ideas-- shimmering ground-breaking perspectives from the most-capable, energetic and brilliant minds still in the race.

No, I just hope Uncle Joe doesn't say anything stupid that Cheeto boy can jump on.

Me, too. I’m wondering if there won’t be a tiny bit of strategic cooperation between them. But I think that given what’s reported as yuuge turnout in the recent primaries, Biden’s new presumptive nominee status, unease about COVID and people being home and staying home Monday morning, lots of people will turn in and the president can’t have a rally across town, unless he decides to make an address from the Oval Office simultaneous to the debate.

No name calling. That’s rancorous . But yes, that .

I really never use the orange guy’s actual name.
And I really don't trust Biden to not screw it up, so I've got my fingers crossed.

I don't think the debate matters at this point in terms of the nomination. I think the writing is on the wall for Bernaldo.

Maybe! Not really happy that we’ve ended up with Biden, but he’s certainly better than the current occupant.

Seems to me it could matter a good deal because here is where Bernie voters decide to -- or not to -- give their votes to Biden. Maybe. I’m planning to watch and for me, that’s a sea change.
![]() 03/14/2020 at 18:20 |

Probably not. It’ll just be in-fighting instead of the unity needed by the party.
And they’ll save vitriol for each other while still remaining “civil” with the opponent.

For me, I think there’s more effect to be had by the counterexample of treating the office of the presidency with a modicum of respect. Keeping it classy. And I really hope Biden doesn’t screw it up too. What I am looking for is for Biden and Bernie to tag team against President Trump, on the under.

We went out and hoarded some today, as a matter of fact.

I refuse to surrender my meager portion of optimism. But yeah...

I wouldn’t bet on it. Keep in mind that Bernie is not a Democrat, he’s an I ndependent. He'll stay in the race to influence the platform.

“No rancor, please.”
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

If the nomination was tight I’d watch but I don’t get to vote until June so my choice has no impact since they dropped out already.

I think people watch because there’s really not much else on live TV to watch and a lot of people are home from work Monday.
I feel like Biden's best strategy is to find a few things he can agree with Bernie on and try to win some votes. I don't think Bernie is much of a threat with how the rest of the party has come to support a single candidate.

I see it just the same and Trump Derangement Syndrome might even lead them to strategize a bit, but others here think that’s unlikely.

If we play our

It’s far too late for that.

Well, anything *more* he can jump on, I guess.
![]() 03/14/2020 at 21:57 |

Idk, with a two person debate each one will have a lot more
speaking time. I think there’s a decent chance Biden will totally go off the rails at
some point, and then
maybe
Bernie could make some kind of a comeback.

I’ll be taking a Water Law and Policy midterm. Have fun voting while this desert rat fogures out how to get all your water.

Interestingly CNN has an article up that Biden endorsed Warren's bankruptcy plan, so that's a start.

Water law and policy?
(We already voted, early and often.)

As an Arizonan, I encourage Californians to keep not caring about national water law and policy.
Trust me with your taps.
